Not sure where you’re located, but I know there’s a lot of civilian IT jobs in the Tampa Bay area for MacDill AFB. Might be worth a look.
As for finding jobs in the IT industry, I had a lot of luck using Dice.com, its kind of a tech-centric job search board, for all across the country and the world. I used it to get my current job, and still get job offers about my two-year old resume up there. Anyway, I don’t work for them, but as a fellow IT nerd and Wow-enthusiast (wow, I bet that really narrows things down), I thought I’d point you their way.
Also, for oversee’s, there is a booming surge for English speaking IT specialists in Finland, Norway, Sweden and Belgium.
Goto USAJobs.com and look for VA IT jobs I know here in idaho they are constantly looking for IT. Bonus is that it is a federal job.
